DeSoto Independent School District is inviting families to experience the arts together during Family Arts Night, a three-day celebration designed to bring scholars, families and fine arts educators together through creativity and hands-on learning.
Family Arts Night will take place Aug. 25-27 for families across DeSoto ISD, with separate evenings designated for high school, middle school and elementary school communities. Sponsored by the PTA, the event will give scholars and their families an opportunity to create, explore and learn alongside DeSoto ISD fine arts educators.
Families can participate in hands-on mini lessons featuring art, band, theater, dance, choir and music.
The experience is designed to give families an inside look at the fine arts opportunities available to DeSoto ISD scholars while creating a welcoming environment where families can learn, participate and have fun together. Family Arts Night also reflects DeSoto ISD’s commitment to providing scholars with opportunities that extend beyond the traditional classroom and encourage creativity, confidence, collaboration and self-expression.
