DeSoto ISD Principal Homer Webb III Nominated for National LifeChanger of the Year Award

The DeSoto Independent School District proudly announces that Homer Webb III, Principal of the district’s Alternative Education Program (DAEP), has been nominated for the prestigious National LifeChanger of the Year Award, a recognition honoring educators who make a significant and positive impact on the lives of students.
Webb’s leadership and commitment to student success have transformed the DAEP program into a hub of opportunity and hope. A licensed pilot, Webb has introduced students to aviation experiences to broaden their horizons and inspire future aspirations. He regularly invites community leaders, business owners, and even professional athletes to engage with students, providing mentorship and real-world perspectives. His influence extends beyond academics—through heartfelt guidance, Webb has helped students make life-changing decisions, including one instance where his words at a community vigil prevented a student from seeking revenge, a choice later credited with saving that student’s life.
