DeSoto ISD is calling on fathers and father figures to step forward, get involved and make a lasting impact by serving as All Pro Dad Captains at their child’s campus.
The All Pro Dad program creates opportunities for fathers and father figures to become more actively engaged in their children’s lives and school communities.
Through campus meetings and activities, dads and their children can spend intentional time together, strengthen relationships and build connections with other families across DeSoto ISD.
The initiative supports the district’s continued focus on family engagement and strengthening partnerships among schools, students and families.
What Does an All Pro Dad Captain Do?
All Pro Dad Captains serve as campus leaders for the program and help create a welcoming environment where fathers, father figures and their children can connect and grow together.
Captains help:
- Coordinate All Pro Dad meetings and activities.
- Encourage other fathers and father figures to participate.
- Share program information with families.
- Create a positive and welcoming atmosphere for participants.
- Support opportunities that strengthen relationships among dads, children and the school community.
Previous leadership experience is not required. DeSoto ISD is looking for fathers and father figures who are willing to show up, lead and help bring other dads together.
