Teaching and Learning
The Teaching and Learning Department is responsible for ensuring that our students graduate college, career, and military strong. The primary objective of teaching is for students to acquire knowledge and skills that impact learning at a high rate of success. The early college, dual credit opportunities, industry-based partnerships, and Career Technical Education programs allow students to leave Desoto ISD ready to conquer the world successfully.
We support the development and implementation of all instructional materials for students at all levels, advanced academic opportunities, and provide quality professional development in an effort to increase student academic achievement.
Teachers help students master learning concepts through research-based practices, providing good first instruction, and engaging students in exploratory opportunities that enrich and enhance learning and student outcomes.
Please visit our various departments today to gain insight on the academic programming for PreKindergarten to 12th Grade students.
