DeSoto ISD joins the National Associations of Elementary and (Secondary) School Principals, and the American Federation of School Administrators in honoring the enormous contributions of DeSoto ISD assistant principals to the entire school community during National Assistant Principals Week, April 4–8, 2022.

DeSoto ISD thanks its assistant principals for staying committed to students, supporting campus staff and operations, and staying connected with parents as the district emerges from the pandemic.

These multi-talented, resourceful, high-performing campus leaders are constantly evolving in their leadership role, calibrating the campus climate and culture, developing and reinforcing processes, and re-orienting students and staff in the campus environment among other responsibilities.

Working alongside their campus principal, assistant principals are often on campus early and stay late preparing for the next day, supporting students even after regular school hours and during extracurricular activities.

DeSoto ISD assistant principals demonstrate unwavering leadership on a daily basis. Their resilience, tenacity, and compassionate characteristics are a source of strength and inspiration for the entire school community and the district appreciates these difference-makers for their service.

During this week and throughout the year, the community is encouraged to unite and appreciate the work of these stellar DeSoto Eagles and ensure they know how valuable they are to the district’s success.
