Initiative Registration is Now Open
DESOTO, TX--Research shows that when fathers are actively involved in students’ educational experiences and at home, students tend to perform better in the classroom and have deeper, healthier relationships at home and at school which is why DeSoto Independent School District is introducing the All Pro Dads program in DeSoto ISD schools.
Dads are invited to register to be a part of the program which will offer monthly campus-based engagement opportunities that will support and reinforce the relationship between fathers and their children but that will also provide curriculum, support, and other activities to help fathers be their best at home and in their communities.

“Fathers play a vital role in their children’s success,” DeSoto ISD Superintendent of Schools Dr. Usamah Rodgers said regarding bringing the program to the district. “This is a national initiative that will provide the foundation for a successful and strong local chapter here in DeSoto ISD.”
DeSoto ISD Youth Leadership Coordinator Michael Green who is leading the implementation of the program is excited to welcome fathers from schools across the district to actively participate in the program.
“We want All Pro Dads to be more than a pit stop on our fathers’ way to work once a month,” said Green. “ We want it to be a long-standing and intentional effort that district families can take pride in and benefit from. As with all district initiatives, the end goal is deepening support for students to enhance their pathways to successful outcomes.”
