Join the DeSoto Independent School District in welcoming new DeSoto High School Volleyball Coach Jaime Johnson who comes to the Eagle Family from Sam Houston High School where she served as the school's female athletic coordinator and head volleyball coach.
Johnson holds a Master’s Degree in Athletic Administration from Concordia University of Nebraska with a concentration in collegiate athletics and a bachelor’s degree in University Studies from the University of Texas at Arlington. Johnson is a NASM certified personal trainer and holds additional certifications in CPR/First Aid alongside teaching certifications in Special Education and Physical Education.
Johnson was two-sport athlete in both volleyball and basketball competing at both Lon Morris Junior College in Jacksonville, Texas and Sterling College in Sterling, Kansas before concluding her higher education student experiences at the University of Texas at Arlington.
Prior to her role at Sam Houston High School, Johnson held possessions in the leadership and management of various club volleyball programs; area high school programs including public, private and charter school programs; and higher education programs.
